Dallas Symphony Orchestra extends the experience of its 2014 AT&T Concert Gala to Klyde Warren Park

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra's 2014 AT&T Gala at the Meyerson Symphony Center on September 13 is among the most highly anticipated musical and philanthropic events of the year.

With a special announcement Wednesday, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will extend the elegant experience beyond the Meyerson to all of Dallas . The gala will be simulcasted live and free to attend nearby Museum Tower Dallas at Klyde Warren Park.

As the DSO celebrates 25 years at the Meyerson, this is a very special first for the DSO and music lovers alike. Beginning at 8:45 p.m., the orchestra will perform pieces by Ravel, Tchaikovsky and Bruch under the baton of Music Director Jaap van Zweden. Iconic, world renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman will perform as soloist.

Gala gowns won't be the only thing glistening that night, either. The DSO also announced stunning fireworks will light up the sky above Museum Tower following the concert.

A spacious fitness center located on the Terrace level houses the latest professional-grade exercise equipment, a movement studio with a serene view of Museum Tower’s lush Zen garden and a secluded massage room.

Our concierge readily facilitates any private wellness and exercise training sessions for residents. Museum Tower also ensures that residents know just how to maximize their use of our state-of-the-art fitness center. Through informational sessions with a variety of accredited experts, we present residents with hands-on learning opportunities upon request.

Nearby Museum Tower: Cameron Mackintosh's Phantom of the Opera Opens Tonight

British theatrical producer Cameron Mackintosh adds more magic to The Phantom of the Opera, which opens tonight at the Winspear Opera House located adjacent to Museum Tower Dallas.

Audiences can expect more of a "'finished world' stage space," associate director Seth Sklar-Heyn told TheaterJones. "We've filled in the gaps of how the original space was conceived and grounded in the space of a more realistic world, but we haven't lost the elements of theatricality and spectacle." 

Andrew Lloyd Webber's much adored production is celebrating its 26th year on Broadway and will continue to play in the AT&T Performing Arts Center through Sunday, August 24.

Texas Economy Continues to Outpace the Rest of the Nation

The phenomenal headlines about Texas' flourishing economy continue.

Texas Comptroller weekly economic report notes that "job growth, sales tax collections and building permits all signal that the Texas economy continues to outpace the national economy."

Just last week, Forbes listed seven cities in Texas on its list of Best Cities for Future Job Growth. Dallas came in at the No. 5 spot with projected job growth just under 4 percent.
