Her newest production, All Vows, explores the dichotomy between the physical, external world we inhabit and the inner landscape of our secret selves. It includes the Dallas premiers of Michael Gordon’s All Vows, Glenn Kotche’s Three Parts Wisdom, and Mohammed Fairouz’s Kol Nidrei, plus Michael Harrison’s Just Ancient Loops with film by Bill Morrison and reimagined classic rock from Maya’s latest album Uncovered. This outdoor and fitness festival along the Trinity River corridors features the 11th annual Trinity River Levee Run with a 10K, 5K and fun run; the Gravelethon Dallas cycling event with routes from 6 to 60 miles; an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest yoga chain during the third annual yoga on the bridge event on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge; demonstrations of adaptive sports and more. An outdoor market at the Continental Bridge will feature artisan foods, clothing, art and food trucks. You can also take your favorite furry friend for K9-Palooza, a mass dog parade along the Trinity Skyline Trail. Get up, out and active #NearbyMuseumTower! March 7 promises to be a big deal in the Dallas Arts District. It’s the Spring Break 2015 Kickoff Party, which marks the first time that streets will close to facilitate a daytime block party. It will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers special activities at the institutions in the Dallas Arts District. The Crow Collection will host Adventure Asia with a Bollywood dance performance, art activities and yoga in the galleries. And, Klyde Warren Park is also involved with the festivities, with family-oriented science experiments, sketching in the park and a skyline tour.




North Texas Irish Festival

The Pipes are calling! The largest celebration of Irish culture in the Southwest returns today, March 6 through Sunday, March 8 with the North Texas Irish Festival. Showcasing all things Celtic pipes in its 33rd year, the festival includes dancing, dining and more entertainment in Dallas’ Fair Park. Pipers from near and far will perform, and then there’ll be fold dancing, beer and whiskey tasting, Irish draft horse demos and more. A celebration of the great traditions of Irish culture, this festival is fun for the entire family.
