Opera magazine’s editor and critic had high praise for both the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House and The Dallas Opera’s recent production of The Aspern Papers.

In his review, John Allison hailed the Winspear Opera House, saying “quite justifiably, it has come to be recognized as America’s finest opera house.” He also raved about The Aspern Papers, which TDO premiered 25 years ago. April’s production was the final opera conducted by Graeme Jenkins after his 20 years with the company.

London-based Opera has been one of the world’s leading lyric stage publications for more than 60 years. The editorial board includes many of the most distinguished opera critics from Britain’s national newspapers as well as a network of international correspondents.
