Hello, Autumn: Celebrating the Season in Dallas

William Cullen Bryant once described autumn as "the year's last, loveliest smile." Here at Museum Tower Dallas, we couldn't agree more. In celebration of our love for this colorful season, we've curated a short list of can't miss activities this month. Below, we present all of the finest opportunities to step into the spirit of the season no matter what your fancy:

Sips for the Season
Autumn Cocktail

Does the cooler, breezy October weather have you dreaming of refreshing harvest cocktails on a patio somewhere with friends? Dallas is known for many things and one of those things just happens to be spacious, beautiful patios. And, you're really in luck, because Dallas also prides itself on exquisite, handcrafted cocktails. Looking to stay close to home at Museum Tower Dallas? Allow us to suggest a short stroll over to the long-awaited Midnight Rambler, a new craft cocktail salon at The Joule opening tomorrow, Friday, October 3. Alternatively, make a quick trip to Meso Maya for a fresh, bold margarita and vibrant environment. Or, if you're looking to adventure a little further out, that's also excellent. The world is your oyster and delicious drinks await. A pumpkin-infused cocktail, perhaps?

Fall Time is Fair Time
Texas Star Ferris Wheel

We realize that we have already mentioned the State Fair of Texas. However, because the fair is such a significant and beloved aspect of the fall season here in Texas we decided to bring it to your attention just once more. Now until October 19 is the time to go visit Big Tex, indulge in some fried fare and take a whirl on the famous Texas Star Ferris Wheel for the incredible, soaring views. You may even be able to catch a glimpse of home sweet home Museum Tower Dallas from high in the sky. What a treat that would be!

Pumpkin Patches and Hay Rides
Autumn at the Arboretum

It's not October without a multitude of festive squash, gourds and pumpkins. Join in the fall season fun with a visit to Autumn at the Arboretum. Also previously mentioned, Autumn at the Arboretum features a nationally acclaimed pumpkin village, hay rides and a pumpkin patch for the kids to choose their very own pumpkin for carving. The fall foliage, cooler temperatures and beautiful colors will have you in the spirit of the season in no time.

Dallas Farmers Market

Sunday Strolls and Fresh Produce
In Texas, the fall is one of the best times to enjoy the great outdoors. What makes a more perfect morning than a long stroll in the crisp autumn air to the delightful farmers market? Nothing, in our eyes. Well, maybe that and a perfectly crafted pumpkin spice latte. Enjoy the fresh spoils of the season at the newly renovated Dallas Farmers Market. From kale to squash to perfectly ripe apples, the Dallas Farmers Market has everything you need to prepare an intimate gourmet dinner for two or an exquisite harvest spread the next time you are entertaining. Bon Appétit!

Cool Thursdays at Dallas Arboretum

Live Outdoor Music
Last, but not least, don't forget about the opportunity to enjoy outdoor concerts all month long. Grab a warm blanket to spread out on the lawn and head outdoors for some soothing sounds and relaxing vibes. Klyde Warren Park will host Live on the Lawn tonight, Sammons Park is holding Patio Sessions all month long and the Dallas Arboretum is also presenting Cool Thursdays. Music to our ears!
