Now through January 4
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents “The 12 Days of Christmas” for the first time this year. Celebrate the holidays like never before with this centerpiece exhibit featuring an elaborate collection of life-size Victorian gazebos filled with the charming costumed characters made famous by the beloved Christmas carol. Stroll the gardens and, beginning in December, enjoy a variety of other holiday-themed activities including visits with Santa, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. November 27
Dallas City Hall Plaza
What began in the early 1940's with 107 participants running to the big oak tree and back at White Rock Lake, the Dallas Turkey Trot has become the largest race of its kind in the world! One of the top fun runs in the country, the Turkey Trot is Dallas’ favorite Thanksgiving tradition. Lace up your sneakers and make your way over to Dallas City Hall Plaza at 9:00 a.m. for a healthy (and festive) start to Thanksgiving Day. We promise you’ll feel better about gobbling down those mashed potatoes and that mouth-watering pumpkin pie later!




November 27
AT&T Stadium, Arlington
Give thanks for food, family and football. If there's a Thanksgiving tradition that Texans love most, it’s definitely football. Drive out to AT&T Stadium after your turkey day feast for the beloved Thanksgiving Day game as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Philadelphia Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Come early, be loud and stay late as you cheer for your favorite team!



November 25 through December 27
Wyly Theatre
‘Tis the season to be jolly, when the family favorite holiday production of A Christmas Carol returns to the Wyly Theatre. In this delightfully re-imagined take on Dickens’ enduring classic, the audience is surrounded by actors with magical ghosts flying above, scary ghosts bursting out of the floor and snow falling on everyone. Full of traditional Christmas hymns and songs in fresh, toe-tapping musical arrangements, joyful bursts of choreography and eye-popping special effects. This enduring holiday classic is a must-see.





November 28 through December 7
Winspear Opera House
And who won’t want to miss Texas Ballet Theater, resident professional ballet company of the Winspear Opera House, perform the holiday classic The Nutcracker? Tour the enchanted Land of Sweets with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince and experience a journey filled with sword-wielding mice, dancing sugarplums and flying carpets. This holiday performance is certain to entertain and delight audience members of all ages.








December 5 through December 21
Meyerson Symphony Center
The Dallas Symphony's beloved tradition returns with an all-new concert featuring holiday favorites, Christmas classics, majestic choir music and a sing-along to familiar carols. Bundle up with a cozy scarf, grab a steamy cup of hot cocoa and stroll over for a spirited holiday celebration!





December 8 through December 9
Meyerson Symphony Center
Back by popular demand, this big brassy extravaganza is better than ever!  The Dallas Symphony's incredible brass and percussion sections perform holiday favorites, featuring the Meyerson's mighty Lay Family Concert Organ.  The majesty and mystery of the season comes alive to the glorious sounds of brass!



December 11
Meyerson Symphony Center
New for the 2014 holiday season, the group called "the greatest large jazz ensemble working today" by the Chicago Tribune will take to the Meyerson stage performing holiday classics with a jazzy, bluesy swing. It’s a sophisticated way to spend one of the season’s evenings.






December 13
Meyerson Symphony Center
The family tradition continues during the holidays with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and The Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas. Stroll over to the Meyerson for an evening of music, community and festivity! And, if you’re good, we hear that Santa himself will even make an appearance! Bring the kids and join in the holiday spirit.




December 21
Hilton Anatole
Get those bells ready, the 2014 Dallas Jingle Bell Run benefiting the Trinity River Trail and Mavs Foundation is on its way! Come out for a 1 Mile Fun Run or a 5K Run and join in the holiday spirit. Fun for the whole family, even Fido, you are sure to have a jolly good time!

American Airlines Center
Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be performing their rock opera The Christmas Attic live for the first time ever on their Winter Tour 2014! Don’t miss this tour in Dallas on December 21 as this album features one of the band’s most popular songs, “Christmas Canon.” Other iconic classics and fan favorites to be performed include “Wizards in Winter,” “Requiem,” and “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24.” Get your tickets for what promises to be a musical, memorable holiday experience!

Ring in the New Year with style and celebrate the most festive night of the year with the Dallas Symphony!  Enjoy an elegant Viennese-inspired concert featuring waltzes and your favorite classics. Here’s to 2015 and health, happiness and love for all!
