Pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation, the chosen cities are on the list because they're "cities who have demonstrated a commitment to building their own capacities to navigate the shocks and stresses of an increasingly complex 21st Century."
Measured through four dimensions of health and well-being, economy and society, leadership and strategy, and infrastructure and environment, this City Resilience program will help Dallas among other chosen cities to prepare for, and bounce back from, the shocks and stresses of modern urban existence.
Dallas is in good company with Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Tulsa also earning one of the highly-coveted spots on the list.
Congratulations, Dallas for joining the "100 Resilient Cities!" We applaud you and continue to look forward to an even bigger, brighter and better Dallas to all call home.
