An Evening with Mona Golabek

American concert pianist Mona Golabek, who was born and grew up in Los Angeles, is the daughter of survivors, Lisa and Michele Golabek. Mona is a Grammy Award nominee who has appeared with orchestras all over the world and wrote her mother’s story in The Children of Willesden Lane, co-authored by Lee Cohen. In 2012, Mona made her debut at the Los Angeles Geffen Playhouse in The Pianist of Willesden Lane, adapted from the book. The “Children of Willesden Lane” benefiting the Dallas Holocaust Museum is a custom performance of the story.
