DFW Restaurant Week
Summer’s hottest dining event is here this month. The 18th annual DFW Restaurant Week is presented by Central Market and benefits the North Texas Food Bank and the Lena Pope Home. In total, over 125 restaurants in Dallas/Fort Worth are offering their three-course prix fixe dinners and lunches. Fifty three of this year’s participants are located nearby Museum Tower Dallas. Reservations opened July 13. Contact your Museum Tower concierge for accommodation inquiries.

The Kick-Off Party will not only feature some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s best restaurants but will also pay homage to some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s best mixologists. Ticket sales benefit the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas and Lena Pope in Fort Worth.

Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, Motown is the real story of the one-of-a-kind sound that hit the airwaves in 1959 and changed our culture forever. The show charts Motown Founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and many more. Featuring all the classics you love, Motown The Musical tells the story of the whole Motown family fight against the odds to create the soundtrack of change in America.

After ten years as a producer and guest host for This American Life, Sarah Koenig created a podcast spin-off entitled Serial. Her passion for journalism and criminal justice has led the series to become the most popular podcast in history, with the inaugural season featuring the reinvestigation of the murder of Maryland high school student Hae Min Lee in 1999. Koenig will talk about that first season, the explosive popularity of it and where the podcast will go in the future.

Cris Worley Fine Arts is pleased to announce, wise with the feeling, its second solo exhibition with abstract painter Trey Egan. The exhibition continues now through August 29th, 2015. In Trey Egan’s paintings, channels of rich color intermingle with indefinite organic forms. His lush and abstract oils on canvas exemplify the beauty of pure paint and are made through the artist tapping into his subconscious without the purpose of depicting specific visual imagery.

Ro2 Art will present Chaos!!! 2015, a curated exhibition of small works featuring over 100 Ro2 artists and guests. As in previous years, the artists represented by the gallery are joined by invited guests, creating a dynamic unique to Ro2 Art’s CHAOS exhibition. The majority of artists are from Texas joined by a number of notable artists from around the country and Europe.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The dog days of summer bring Dollar Days in August at the Arboretum. Throughout the entire month visitors can enjoy general admission for only $1. There will also be $1 and $2 food and drink items including hot dogs, juice, root beer floats and more. This is a perfect opportunity for new Arboretum visitors to bring the kids out to experience the eight-acre Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden.

AT&T Stadium in Arlington
On August 29, The Dallas Cowboys take on the Minnesota Vikings at 6:00 p.m. in their first preseason game on home turf. This will be the franchises 56th season in the NFL. The first regular season game is at AT&T Stadium on September 13 for the Cowboys.
