Take the Lens Cap Off: Trends in Photography

Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas, CADD, will be hosting a guest lecture panel on Wednesday, May 15 to discuss current trends in photography.



The guest moderator is Jeffrey Grove, the Dallas Museum's Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art.  Grove will oversee the panelists including: Kael Alford, photographer and writer; Deborah Bell, Vice President and Head of Christie's Photographs Department in New York; Dornith Doherty, photographer and Professor of Photography at the University of North Texas; and Wendy Watriss, photographer, curator, writer, and a founder of FotoFest, Houston.

Each panelist brings a unique perspective to the art of photography which enhances and brings more depth to the discussion.

The event will take place at Booker T. Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts, just a few blocks from Museum Tower. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. in the school gallery and is followed by a 7:00 p.m. panel discussion in the auditorium.

The panel discussion is $5 and students get in free with photo I.D.
